Ceremonies in Girl Scouting A Girl Scouts Own Ceremony should be meaningful for all involved and should be unique to whatever the situation may be. You may include songs, poetry, skits, and sharing. Each person should leave the ceremony with a feeling of renewal and peace. Native Americans lay tied bundles of cloth on sacred ground as an offering to the good spirits for prayers to be answered.) Memory bundles are used when we have a campfire. Girls gather small twigs, each twig represents a special Girl Scout memory from troop, camp, friendship, etc. Girls tie their twigs with brightly colored yarn. Each bundle is layed outside the fire ring before the fire is lit. Girls take turns sharing the meaning of their twigs. When she is finished she offers her bundle to the fire by placing it in.
